Reality Jones is a Baltimore-based, original band fronted by singer/songwriter Tim McFadden. Tim's writing provide insightful lyrics and memorable melodies for Reality Jones to arrange and mold into well crafted, unforgettable pop/rock songs. The band is comprised of top-notch musicians, all of whom have many years of playing experience. Such a background enables them to perform a few live improvisational jams at each show, which their fans have come to enjoy. The band prides itself on exceptional instrumentation, tight harmonies, and a unique blend of personalities that all combine to keep an audience captivated.

In a club or bar setting, Reality Jones plays a 50/50 split between original music and covers. The band's original music can be described as pop/rock or adult contemporary rock. Covers range from The Bare Naked Ladies, to Prince, to The Who. Reality Jones has enough material to play a three-set night. The band has released two full-length CDs in the past 5 years and has a mailing list of about 300 people. Reality Jones plays venues that are open to original music or a mix of originals and covers. Reality Jones is also very much interested in playing music festivals or events that feature 100% original music.
The Jones History
Singer/songwriter Tim McFadden formed Reality Jones (in part) in 1997 to record a demo tape of some of his material for an interested New York promoter. The band at that time consisted of Tim McFadden (of course) with Jon Peck on drums, Tim Fowler on bass, and producer Paul Buono on electric guitar (Paul even played a few live gigs with the band). The members of this new band were very excited about the music they had made thus far and wanted to continue by recording a full length CD and securing permanent members for their live performances.
In 1998, with engineer Tony Eichler at the helm, recording began. Paul Buono produced, as well as, laid down most of the electric guitar tracks. Keyboardist, Mookie Siegel was brought in to add some Hammond Organ and other keyboard tracks. Near the end of the recording project, guitarist Tom Russell from Bowie, MD joined the band was brought into the studio to record some guitar solos for various tracks on the CD. Tom remained the permanent guitar player for Reality Jones for about 1.5 years before leaving the band for personal reasons. (He has since been replaced by guitarist Sean Kerns.) Just before Tom Russel left the band, David Hagler joined the band as Organ/Keyboard player for about a 2 year period. Paul Buono has since moved to Nashville, TN to continue his career as a producer. The band's debut CD, "All You Need To Know", was released in February, 1999 and has received an overwhelming response from listeners around the world. Reality Jones second full-length CD, "The Other Side" was released in January 2002 and is now available!. The band's third CD, "Broken Angel" was released in April 2010.(See music page for details.)

Tim McFadden - Lead Vocal, Acoustic Guitar, Harmonica
Tim McFadden has been writing and performing his songs for many years in the Catonsville/Baltimore area as either a member of various musical groups or as a solo artist. He delivers his vocal performance with much passion and power and his voice has been compared to such artists as Sting, Bryan Adams, John Couger, and Paul Rogers. His acoustic guitar serves as a foundation for the band and his harmonica playing adds spice in the right places. One special performance for Tim was when he opened for the band Chicago at Merriweather Post Pavilion. Tim Fowler has played bass with many different bands over the years and is a former member of the rock band Fire Monkey. He has also, recorded (bass and vocals) with various local Maryland artist covering many different styles. His continued and varied bass guitar experiences have created a distinct bass playing ability and performance that is unsurpassed.
Jon Peck - Drums
Jon has played drums in a number of bands and is also a former member of the rock band Fire Monkey. Jon has been a part of numerous recording projects covering many different musical styles including some solo jazz/fusion projects. His continuous experience with various musical styles has allowed Jon to become the versatile and dynamic drummer that he is today. His talent and consistency is an important contribution to the band.
Dave Heymann - Lead Guitar
Dave has been playing guitar in various bands and musical projects for many years. Dave has a background in classical guitar and has a great sense of rhythm; however, he also loves to "rock out". His playing could best be described as "in the groove and on the move"!
